Since I am a serious business woman in a very competitive industry, I am always asked, "WHY I DO PAGEANTS"?
AJ and I at the American Renaissance National pageant this last June. It was a great weekend for both of us! |
|
The first time I competed in a beauty pageant was in 2005 in the 'Mrs Wyoming America' pageant. I was selected to be "Mrs Cheyenne America" and that pageant set the bar very high for what was to become my personal 'Qwest for the Crown'. I had recently moved to Wyoming from Texas and entered to find new friends and have an experience that I had always dreamed of, since my grandmonther was "Miss Texas America" in the 1930's. My "Nana" would let me wear her crown, sash and gowns when I was a little girl. She would explain to me that being "Miss Texas" was alot of fun, however, it came with a lot of responsibility. She then started taking me to charity events that she was invloved in and letting me have jobs within the fundraisers. She taught me that one of the most important things we can do with our lives is to give back to our community and help others that are not as blessed as we are...I have been invloved in ALOT of charity fundraisers since then and they are what gives me the greatest satisfaction and joy...
Now, I participate in pageants with my teenage daughter, AJ. I am passing down the knowledge that my grandmother passed to me and we also have alot of fun...

I am very proud and honored to say I have been crowned ‘Mrs Colorado American Renaissance 2010’.
The ARNP is a nationally known, platform-based pageant that rewards women who are active in their communities, families, and careers. Moreover, ARNP titleholders celebrate the strength and Pride of Today's Modern woman, while enriching the lives of others. It is their inner beauty that makes the difference in the final selection process, and that is the defining characteristic of each of our winners.
An ARNP winner earns somewhat of a part-time job of promoting women, their platform and the ARNP pageant.
This year, 2009, I represented Colorado at the American Renaissance National Pageant and placed FIRST RUNNER-UP! It was my first national pageant and I was honored to be the first runner-up!
Visit the website! We have photos and video to show what a wonderful system this is, and how it is an amazing experience for women! Go Now
